Here is my Indesign project: polly_jacynkiki_final
Making of Jacy & Kiki leads me to pick up the paint brush again. I drew them with the medium of ink, watercolor and gouache, and retouch it in Photoshop. Matching colors are the hardest, the colors have turned out differently than my original drawings. I need more workshops on color management at the doc. My initial idea is to print the inside pages on uncoated paper, so it has a raw feeling. However, laser printer makes it too glossy. Overall, I enjoyed the process, because i get to stay away from the computer screen. Long hours of work, but I’m happy with the result.

Sometime people just don’t get or care about what we (artist/designer) are doing. Don’t lose your passion in creativity. Design is a practical tool that enhances communication, spreading of messages and providing solutions to problems. This poster is designed for general public, generate the idea of breaking stereotype. Poster location at SkyTrain billboard.

This is a school project done with the application of adobe photoshop and wacom tablet. The project is to create a manipulated photographic image with the idea of real fake / fake real.
I decided to share this experience with a good friend of mine. I’ve always found it’s wonderful to work with my friends. So I came up this crazy idea of having my friend’s character figure surrounded in her calm profile portrait. Make up is done by my friend; hair and styling by me. My modeling friend did a great job. She gave me different postures with emotions and actions. I actually asked her to imagine herself in the scene. It really shows the true character of her. We had so much joys and laughers together.
P.S. Technician in the DOC is really helpful. I learned the correct way to set up input and output file.
